Sweepstakes casinos in the US
Sweepstakes (social) casinos use two currencies: Gold Coins, bought and played for fun, and Sweeps Coins, given free with purchases or by mail-in request and redeemable for cash prizes. The "no purchase necessary" model lets them operate outside state gambling licences in most of the country, but since 2025 a growing list of states has banned it outright.

Industry estimates, not audited figures: coin purchases are what players spend, net revenue is what operators keep after prizes are redeemed.
